Title: Designing Intelligent Human Computer Interaction for the Untact Economy Changing patterns of production, distribution and consumption driven by digital societal changes, have given rise to a new a new Intelligent Human Computer Interaction model called the no-contact or "untact" economy where online and remote solutions replace human face-to-face interaction.
The changing patterns of production, distribution and consumption, such as more use of telecommuting, ‘untact’ economic services and online shopping, are expected to bring about fundamental changes in the economic structure to become a part of ordinary economic activities.
Further, our current approaches to HCI work may work well for today’s technologies, but may not work for untact business models that require explicit and implicit interactions. This talk will explore how we 1) understand the scope of the problem today, 2) understand the impact of untact on HCI design 3) barriers and the opportunities that next-next-generation interface technologies will create, and 4) new paradigms both for
developing intelligent untact interfaces.

Title: Making the IoT ready to be large scale deployed: device management and edge intelligence distribution
The IoT is reaching the expected maturity in the market. The last years very important disruption have happened around Internet connectivity with the introduction of 6LoWPAN, M2M, NB-IoT and Ultra Narrow Band for enabling a wide range of solutions that offer the bandwidth, coverage, costs and power consumption for every potential scenario. At the same time, IoT has been evolving our knowledge and conception of the world as an hyper-connected environment that has raised new requirements for making the IoT ready for large scale deployments. One of the design considerations, for the success of the IoT, has been to integrate scalable device management and also edge intelligence capabilities, in order to promote and ensure the interoperability, homogeneity, openness, security, flexibility, and heritage of all existing hardware, and tools. This work presents how to integrate the management protocols in IoT-based deployments with protocols such as OMA LwM2M for enabling remote maintenance, firmware upgrade, heterogeneous resources exposition etc., and also to deploy edge computing services that enhance scalability, quality of service and privacy. An overview and explanation of the new IoT capabilities that cover from connectivity, management to edge intelligence will be addressed in this talk.

Title: The Impact of the measurement Process in Intelligent System of Data Gathering Strategies
Intelligent system is a technology that has opened diverse ranges of possibilities due to its availability, value, and accessibility. Devices are easy to reach with very limited budgets in projects, allowing implementing different applications from smart cities to smart farming. The potential impact on industrial and social areas seem to be unlimited. However, the devices are the media to implement a data-gathering strategy which requires a clear definition. That is to say, the measurement project needs to define the aim, scopes, aspects to measure, how to measure each characteristic, how to interpret each value in its scenario according to its entity under monitoring, etc. Said in another way, a previous definition of the measurement project is highly recommended to sure a consistent and extensible measurement project able to produce comparable measures. This constitutes a key asset due to if the measures are not comparable, the obtained value would not have usefulness itself. For that reason, how the concepts and terms in the measurement project are agreed jointly with how each device understands it, it is a key to keep a parsimonious model oriented to the comparability of obtained measures from heterogeneous and distributed devices. Here, a perspective around the measurement frameworks is provided jointly with its influence on the project definition and the implementation through intelligent devices for supporting different alternatives of decision-making.
